How To Generate Consulting Business

If you are a consultant looking for ways to generate new consulting business, you might want to sign up for our mailing list.

In this post, I will share you a very brief list of just a few of the strategies that we use to get folks from a variety of industries that we would be willing to do consulting for to sign up and become aware of us.

Here’s a short list of some of the ways to generate consulting business by growing a list of potentially interested prospects:

  1. Expand your networking attempts – By forming and nurturing groups in related industries like we are doing with industries related to real estate investing for our real estate investing consulting you can reach farther and more easily prospects that are more likely to work with you.
  2. Give away widgets – Things like special reports, free audio downloads, free video downloads, free book, white paper and so on can be given away to get people to join your mailing list (see this very post to our blog as an example of just one way of many you might do it).
  3. Joint venture with other businesses – Share your list with other non-competing businesses in exchange for them sharing with you by cross promoting products, services, guest content writing or presentations and so on.
  4. Write tons of content – Writing a large amount of content for your blog, social networking sites, other content aggregation websites and other related, non-competing blogs can boost the popularity of your website, get more people to become aware of and follow you as well as establish you as an expert in your field.

P.S Of course the lead generation I talk about above is just the first part of the process required to generate actual consulting business, but it allows you to start building a list of potentially interested prospects that you can then convert (much easier than you might imagine) to consulting clients with proper care and handling.
