Do I need to attend the closing?

Today, I plan to share with you an additional answer to the private lending FAQs that you may wish to prepare for dealing with your own search for private lending.

The question I answer today is: Do I need to attend the closing?

Most banks do not attend the closing and you do not need to attend the closing to be a private lender either.

Usually a bank will wire the funds to the title company, escrow company or closing attorney a day in advance of closing. You can do the same thing.

After the closing has been executed you and we both receive copies of the closing documents that relate to our role in the transaction from the title company, escrow company or closing attorney.

Until my next post,

James
