Google Blogger for Handyman Businesses

Let’s take a moment to discuss ways that a handyman business owner might be interested in Google Blogger. Very similar in some ways to the Google Sites, except Blogger was acquired by Google and it’s a set of blogging tools. It has software that’s similar, in many ways, to WordPress. In my opinion, not nearly as feature-rich, doesn’t have nearly the number of themes, nor the number of plug-ins. One nice thing about this though, is it does allow you to have AdSense. A lot of the other free blogging platforms on the internet do not allow you to install AdSense on your site. In fact, a lot of them will maybe put ads on it in order to pay for your hosting. They’ll put ads on your site, and they get the revenue.

With Google Blogger, it is free, and since Google automatically gets a share of AdSense, they allow you to put AdSense on your website. So, again, just like with Google Sites, I don’t recommend you use this as your main business site. But you could use it as a lead generation website for a very specific niche, do very specific market testing to this, and you can use AdSense on it in order to recoup some of your marketing costs as you go and do it.
