Leads Groups for Handyman Businesses

And then beyond the Chamber of Commerce leads groups, there are formal, separate-than-the-chamber leads groups that often meet once a week, and they have a system in place for exchanging leads. A lot of them are paid membership type organizations. You pay a certain yearly fee or something like that in order to be there, and they only allow one business from each kind of segment. And their formal job out there is during the week they’re out looking for opportunities for you and other people in their leads groups. And they come together once a week and they formally exchange referrals, and talk about clients that would be a good fit for them. Once a week you have someone give a presentation about what an ideal client would be for them, and they can come in and stand up in front of the group and talk about that, or they teach a little lesson on something that’s specific to their niche.

It’s a really great way to meet a lot of really good business owners that are serious about building their business, serious about exchanging leads, and serious about networking and marketing and things of that nature. So I highly recommend you check out some of those groups. If you need a recommendation of some of the main brand ones that I’ve known about and used over the years, definitely contact meet and I’ll let you know about that. But I would just look around in your local business, ask your chamber, when you go meet those guys, if they are involved in any other leads groups, and what they use, and things of that nature. So I would recommend that as well.

Those are the major areas for business networking. Remember, a lot of business networking is meeting new people, creating great friends, and if you’re a really social, outgoing type of a guy or girl, doing business networking like this is a lot of fun. If you’re kind of not into that scene, this might not be the area for you to focus on. You might want to more lead generation marketing, and then you know deal with people one-on-one on the telephone or face-to-face. It really depends on your personality. But realize that if this is up your alley, this is a great way for you to generate more business, build your internal database, and develop that ongoing relationship with people over a period of time.

Until my next post,

James
