Marketing Your Website Offline for Handyman Businesses
Alright, let’s talk here about marketing your website offline. Whenever you’re putting at any type of offline marketing, whether it’s direct mail pieces, your newsletter, classified adds, all of these different things, you should include your domain name and all of your marketing you do offline. One of the reasons why you’re going to want to do that, I’m going to talk to you in a second, maybe after lunch actually. Nope, I’m going to talk here in a few moments about one-step versus two-step marketing. And a lot of the marketing you’re going to do is going to be limited by the space and message you can get out. But what’s nice about online marketing is you have unlimited space in order to get your entire marketing message out. And so you’re going to want to go unlimited, only limited about your bandwidth and your hard drive space in a web server, which is virtually unlimited for most of people. So you’ll be able to go and get your marketing out, and include your website address, and then people can go there to get more information and engage in contacts with you much better. So, often your website is going to be that second step in any two-step marketing campaigns you’re running. So for instance, if you’re running a classified ad, you’re not going to be able to get out your full marketing message in that classified ad. So your website will often be the second step in that marketing message.
