Partnering On Real Estate Deals

Last night at the real estate investor group that I spoke at, I discussed Strategies For Investing In Real Estate Without You Getting New Conventional Financing (links to the resource for our Real Estate Investor Bronze Members) and one of the methods I briefly touched on is partnering on real estate deals.
In our current financial markets that limit the number of loans you can get and increased requirements for getting loans to invest in real estate, partnerships with with folks that can compliment your strengths could be of great benefit.
WARNING: It is critically important to make sure that all members of the partnership understand the potential benefits as well as the potential downsides of real estate investing. Real estate investing does not always go as planned. Written understanding of both the good and the bad between the partners–and I will suggest that you do it with the help of an attorney–is a good idea.
Whether you are finding and working the deal and your partner is providing the financing or vice versa or some mix of responsibilities there are lots of variations on how to structure a partnership.
